Great text book as well as a quick reference guide while learning your way around video production (camera, lighting, sound, editing, etc). Those stories were all originally published between 1934 and 1963, so very roughly speaking one might say this is a sample of "golden age" science fiction.As noted by the title, Huntington's major interest is in the "ideological strategies" to be found in SF. Some of the information about horse behavior (especially dominance) is outdated, BUT John's techniques and anectodal education is still pretty solid. It has bright pictures, board-like pages and is sturdy. This story was scintillatingly silly, but quite charming and the artwork caught the antics of a hound dog perfectly with the rocking and rolling around that no one but another dog could appreciate.
