His command of diction, rhythm, allusion, and conceit are graceful and stylish. The pictures are interesting, but I could do without the overused caption "And the big guns rode the rails" or "The big guns move by rail," which became irritating. When I read of the remarkable signs following her daughter Meg's passing--the radios, the butterfly, and both "afterlife hugs"--I asked why such amazing, unmistakable signs were given to her. I also learned how to avoid doing the exercises without injury. I purchased this book after borrowing one from the library. This book has, all in one place, tons of ideas for what to do with a group of kids. So, when I had the opportunity to review I Draw on Cats: A Connect-the-Dots Activity Book, I felt like it might be an excellent choice for her to play with and draw on.This book is a forty-eight page pull-out, perforated connect the dots book. This was a new modality for me that I found interesting with a new clinician I was working with inpatient. However, eerily reminiscent of his own family falling out, his two sons had serious tensions between them,Designed to facilitate group work in a range of settings, this book presents an empirically tested format and ready-made curricula for teaching essential social skills to schizophrenia clients. Chapters take readers step-by-step through assessing existing skills, introducing new skills, and maintaining and consolidating gains.
