We have a cat in our house, but she’d like to have more. Quotations within the text are only occasionally attributed to a source, making use of those quotations for the reader's own research difficult. We had bought as Timewalker, with Timetwist added we bought it again. Bought this book as a gift for someone who needed an uplift. I live alone so it is hard for me to do the work on myself and this whole thing would be so much better, easier and more fun if you have someone to share it with. It really is very simple to use.. However, eerily reminiscent of his own family falling out, his two sons had serious tensions between them, with very different visions of where the company should go.Interesting vignettes: the joint venture with the legendary Baron Philippe de Rothschild and his wife, who took aver the reins after the Baron's death, Baroness Philippine de Rothschild.The book itself reads almost like a Greek tragedy, where the reader cReaders will find discussions regarding origins, how things came to be, time and place of food-plant and animal domestication, the spread of plants and animals from and to China, and other historical questions regarding the foods used by the Chinese people. The book is written with Canton and the southeast as points of departure, but embraces all of China and is directed towards people unfamiliar with China.. Its focus is on traditional China before establishment of the People's Republic. This volume is a study of Chinese food from a cultural and historical perspective. It identifies and provides comprehensive information on a broad range of Chinese food plants and animals for general readers, as well as for specialists whose interests have led them to questions relating to the food of China
