It's like Maurice Sendak making
A Handmaid's Tale.”--The VILLAGE VOICE's TOPLESS ROBOT
“Henni is set in a world run by a close-minded religious patriarchy and the titular young girl runs away when she realizes she doesn't want to live the life they've set for her. Unlike most in her village, Henni questions and wonders what the world is like as she comes of age. Striking out on her own, Henni goes out in search of truth, adventure, and more! Written and drawn my Miss Lasko Gross (

Escape From Special),
Henni is a commentary on, religion, coming of age, and being yourself.“One of the most challenging cartoonists working today. As she goes off discovering the world, she is bravely indifferent to questioning everything and everyone she comes across, making this kind o
Still, some teens will be intrigued by Henni and her predicaments. Her father's disappearance is the first of many disturbing instances that has Henni questioning the religious rules that govern the lives of her and those in her community. Given the cliff-hanger ending there will likely be more to follow in this series. When the teen sees village priests taking bribes, she immediately begins wondering if all the rules are meant to be broken. But it is also heavy-handed, with a preachy undertone. Most illustrations are completely black and white with shades blue. Henni then runs into citizens from another village, but their religion might be worse than what she just narrowly escaped. Henni is undoubtedly a courageous female protagonist, but she isn't an engaging or compelling one. VERDICT

The book presents a concise rendition of the new economic geography models, including lots of details on mathematical derivations, etc. The addition of the objects given to Lance give this book even more of an mnemonic as a takeaway. I was losing my clients papers and my bills and everything in between. a rare find. A fascinating journey with one who truly knows and understands animals. Sometimes he would refer to someone by just a first or last name, sometimes flipping back would remind you who he was referring to, other times not.. No President before or since Monroe had the ability to mobilize individuals. She also made me feel like I wasn't a freak for having bad financial habits but that I needed to learn how to break them. The format is one which provides quickly learned and well structured lessons for the consumers. No more. The book closes, hinting at the party as a legend as real as Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy. No doubt the events are true, but it must be said that Protestants were also cruel to Catholics at times. I've read quite a few Vikin
